Citroen C1

Tuesday 15 March 2011

Since its launch in June 2005, Citroen has sold over 310,000 C1’s worldwide. Despite strong competition from rivals such as the Peugeot 107, Renault Twingo and Fiat Panda, the C1’s nimble, dynamic and ingenious design still make it one of the most popular city cars on the market.

The compact new Citroen C1 is a perfect car for the city – it’s light, nippy and safe. At only 3.43 metres long, its compact body fits into the tinniest of parking spaces whilst its excellent road holding and top-level safety features make it one of the safest cars in its class. The C1’s stylish and dynamic exterior gives the car an elegant yet energetic look whilst the interior boasts practicability, with its modern design offering twelve handy storage compartments and folding rear seats for when you need extra space.

The C1 is available in 3 or 5 door and with a 1.0i petrol engine or 1.4HDi diesel engine. There are 3 trim ranges to choose from:
The Vibe, with its nippy 1.0i petrol engine is the basic and cheapest model in the range.
The Rhythm, available in both petrol and diesel, has remote central locking, colour coded wing mirrors and two side airbags.

The Code, available in both 3 and 5 door and with the 1.4HDi engine comes with 14 inch alloy wheels, half leather trimmed seats, chrome interior trim inserts and glove box.
The C1 is attractively priced and inexpensive to run, with low fuel consumption and reasonable maintenance costs. On the road prices for the new Citroen C1 start from £7,595.
