Dry-Paint Film - Product Review - Brief Article

Thursday 24 March 2011

Avloy[R] dry-paint film laminate has exterior woodgrain applications for vehicles, which feature a matched look of the Wengewood that comes from a Central African tree. Avloy[R] is combined with ASA (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate). The dry-paint film laminate is an OEM approved drypaint film, specifically formulated and designed for use in injection molds as an alternative to spray painting.
The film is supplied in roll form, which is thermoformed and trimmed into the shape of the class "A" surface. The paint-film has matching gloss and DOI (Distinctness of Image) characteristics and excellent adhesion and chip resistance. The Avcoat[TM] pressure-sensitive paint film is applied to a crowned groove molded into the woodgrain panels, providing the appearance of rolled stainless steel to give an overall inlaid plank look.
